For years, people have been coming to Zippo with design ideas that they would like to see on a Zippo windproof lighter. In 2006, we gave them a chance to make this dream a reality with the Design A Lighter contest. The goal of the contest was to discover fresh designs that might someday be used on a Zippo lighter. Seahorses is a winning entry submitted by Tim Twelves of San Francisco.
Zippo products have been used for advertising, promotional and corporate gifting for many years. The imprinting message have improved along with the designs, and you can still have your own design put onto a windproof lighter. There is a minimum order quantity, but you too can see your design on a Zippo windproof lighter.

Auto Engrave

Premium Custom Imprint Methods
Lustre
Restricted to plated finishes, the Lustre process recreates a design with intricate etching, which is then plated to add both depth and durability. Can be combined with 540 Fusion.

Double Lustre
A design is double-etched onto a lighter and then plated for a a layered, multi-dimensional effect. The lighter’s high-polish finish is incorporated into the design’s negative space for added depth.

Fusion
A combination of specific pre-determined color palettes and chrome breaks creates an iridescent, metallic look.

Auto Two-Tone
Contrast is achieved when Zippo engraves in two different depths. Vibrant chrome and brass engraving allows for a “gold and silver” effect.
