The Sunday Punchers

2001 Polished Chrome

Also engraved with Fame Vehicle on the lid.

From July 1967-July 1968 I was the CO of Attack Squadron-75, better known as VA-75 or the “Sunday Punchers.” In November 1967, we embarked in USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) as part of AirWing-11 and departed San Diego for Vietnam. We were in the Gulf of Tonkin from December 1967 until June 1968 and deployed with twelve strike versions of the A-6A “Intruder”. The A-6A was a two-man twin engine all weather attack bomber and in its day was the best all weather attack bomber in the world, bar none!
